Back to Reality

Well, we are back at home....Jet Lag pretty much under control and back into the routine of life. What a wonderful time we had, I'm sure we will never forget it! A friend of mine asked if we gained any insight into our lives...and really, no. We just rested our minds and let go of all the stress of "real" life and enjoyed the moment. Typically we aren't in the moment type people, we've been active & busy all our married lives...it's good to just be in the moment. I encourage everyone to plan at least one day a month to just enjoy each moment of the day, unplug and appreciate the world around you...if you don't appreciate your world - step into someone else's. Walk through a garden, watch a sunset, close your eyes & listen to your favorite music. We get so "busy" in these lives of ours we forget to just "be", to connect with the world around us and to be reminded how Great is our God. Remember when we were kids and we just marveled at all the things that God created? I could just stare for hours at the stars or gaze long moments at the wonder of a flower or landscape. I think that's what a true vacation should be, to slow us down, reconnect you to your loved ones, to the earth that was created for us and to the one who Loves us all. I get so busy in this life I live sometimes I forget to enjoy the simple pleasures of eating a meal or listening to the sounds the birds make. I think if I've learned anything this trip is to have a little vacation in us everyday. To slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures and for the days I have numbered in this life...to appreciate all the amazing places & things that God created. Soooo, schedule a slow down in your day...you may thank me!

That's a good pic! Well, they all are! Wish I could have experienced it all as well...maybe, one day. Like you said, we need to all take some time to relax and unplug from the "everyday".
